Christine Webber has been a resident at Acacia Lodge Care Home for a few years now. Her husband Len was also living here. When Len passed his family donated a sum of money to buy a memorial to Len for our garden.
Staff at Acacia Lodge and her family arranged to meet at Toad Hall Garden centre. Christine was unaware of where she was going or who she was going to meet on our mystery tour. David, her son, and Kaye, her daughter in law, had also arranged for Jacqui to join us. The two became firm friends when Jacqui stayed at Acacia for respite. They spent a great deal of time together during her stay.
Together, we spent the morning perusing the garden furniture and Chris chose a beautiful bench to put by our front entrance at Acacia Lodge and a brass plaque in memory of dear Len. We enjoyed coffee and cakes and so much catching up, and it was beautiful to see the two friends together again. A happy day for us all.
