Care Home Residents Enjoy Harvest Festival
Published on Tuesday October 20 2020
Residents at Acacia Lodge Care Home recently enjoyed a Harvest Festival with the Reverend Duncan Carter from Trinity Church.
Wendy Fricker, Activities Co-ordinator said, “We collected a huge bag of groceries to be donated to the Henley food bank via Trinity Church and had a wonderful service singing “We plough the fields and scatter” and “All things bright and beautiful. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and it was so lovely to see them all singing heartily.”
The Reverend was escorted into the ground floor lounge (after having his temperature taken) through the garden so social distancing was observed. Wendy added, “Reverend Duncan was so happy to see our ladies and gents after so long.”
