Celebrating the Queen’s 70 years on the throne

On Friday the 3rd of June, The Boynes Care Centre had the most incredible day celebrating the Queen’s 70 years on the throne. Samantha, who is the home’s Lifestyles Lead, commented: “The turnout was just amazing, for a small care home like ours we had around 80 guests joining for the momentous occasion. The guests said how utterly special the day was and how much they loved being a part of it. Here, at The Boynes, we pride ourselves for being one big family, and that was the vibe felt throughout the day. We had Worcester’s Swan Theatre performer Jack Gibbons singing to us, face painting for the children and a glorious spread of afternoon tea buffet treats! Dawn Patterson, whose husband was once a resident here at The Boynes, unveiled our Jubilee commemoration plaque and memorial tree for the occasion. The staff worked tirelessly from the early morning to set everything up and make the day extra special for the residents and their families. Emotions were also high as it was the first time we were able to really have a party with loves ones since before COVID. The day will not be forgotten in a hurry that’s for sure!”
