Acacia Lodge Care Home held a cake sale on Monday the 25th to raise funds for the @alzheimerssoc
Thank you so much to all the residents’ families who donated cakes. Also, a huge thank you to our resident Jerry Hilton and her daughter who gathered the lovely Hambledon Ladies. They donated 5 beautiful cakes for our stall.
Thelma Clutson, the Home Manager of Acacia Lodge invited Frankie, who is a daughter of a past resident to come to the fundraising event. Frankie was a huge help on the day and also brought her famous chocolate brownies with her.
A brilliant afternoon was had by all and we raised £130 to go off to the Alzheimer’s Society.
The unsold cakes were distributed amongst the residents for a supper time treat. Lots of smiles all round!
