For Burns night this year, our Oaklands Residents enjoyed taking part in activities such as Burns Night word searches, a Robert Burns and Scottish quiz, a Scottish picture landmarks quiz, colouring in Scottish based pictures and how many words can you find in Auld Lang Syne. One of our Residents Bill managed to find 27 words.
All Residents received a copy of the menu. We set up two lovely decorated table displays and our Chef Sarah dished up an amazing typical Burns Night Supper of cock a leetie soup to start followed by main course of haggis, neeps and tatties and for dessert a clootie dumpling.
Residents commented that the display and taste was lovely.
