Haskins Garden Centre trip

This week we had a trip out to Haskins Garden Centre to see the Christmas decorations.  Altogether we took out six of our residents and five of their family members met us at the Garden Centre, this really made our residents trip special and they were really happy.

The residents loved looking at the Christmas decorations and lights.

We took a slow stroll around for 20 minutes before making our way to the café for refreshments. Our residents chose which cake they would like and what type of coffee or tea.

We sat and chatted with family and the atmosphere was very relaxed, and a couple of our residents remembered having previously been to Haskins.

When everybody had been sated, we continued our way around the centre.

Some of the residents did a little Christmas shopping, purchasing presents for grandchildren.

As well as the decorations there were props that could be used for photo opportunities and one of our residents happily donned the Christmas tree hat.

All the residents said that they had had a really nice time and enjoyed the trip out very much.
