Our residents at Southborough Nursing Home received letters from their pen-pals. “It’s from my friend, it’s my friend!” – resident Daphne exclaimed in excitement. She had tears of joy as she was reading her letter at least 20 times! She was so happy and showed the letter to everyone. Pen-pal activity makes such a huge difference in residents’ life, it connects them to their local community and makes them feel a very important part of it! Home manager of Southborough Nursing Home commented: “This is wonderful. I also want to join the pen-pal group. It would be nice to involve more residents and I encourage others in the community to be a part of Southborough pen pal group.”
