History facts

Oaklands House residents enjoyed this afternoon’s history facts about Henry VIII and his six wives. Did you know that Henry VIII created The Church of England so that he could divorce Catherine of Aragon, as divorce was not legal in the Catholic Church or that during his reign from 1509 to 1547 he had over 70,000 people sadly executed?

Much conversation and opinions on Henry were shared amongst our residents and all agreed that we were glad we hadn’t lived during those times!
