We had the London Good Church youth group visit us here at Acacia Care Centre and residents enjoyed an afternoon of workshops , performances and a lovely talk on family and the youth groups experiences doing aid work in Africa.
Residents were treated to a great Dance performances followed by a breaking the ice work shop where residents got to talk about things important to them with people sitting next to them which was so nice to see.
A martial arts performance followed which was performed by some of the youths who are visiting from South Korea and a touching piano solo of Danny Boy was performed.
A lovely young man gave a talk about the meaning of family and a story of his friend who was volunteering in Tanzania in Africa and how that experience reconnected her back with their family. Residents really did have a meaningful afternoon.
