The Perseids are one of the brighter meteor showers of the year. The Perseid meteor shower is one of the highlights of many meteor hunters’ calendar due to its high hourly rate and bright meteors. Meteors can appear in any part of the sky so the more sky you can see the better! Together with our residents at Oaklands House Care Centre we were observing the sky at night and during the day we took part in shooting stars project, using paint colours of our choice, different size paint brushes and cotton buds we made beautiful paintings of shooting stars.
