Residents at Oaklands enjoyed joining in this year’s National Trivia Day. We’ve learnt some very interesting trivial facts. Did you know that Buckingham Palace is the most expensive home in the world or that hunting unicorns in Michigan is legal and Lake Superior State University in Michigan offers a “unicorn hunting license”? We have also learnt that the largest lizard in the world, the Komodo Dragon has a specimen that grew to 10.3 feet long and weighed in at 166 kilos. Komodo Dragons can run up to 20 kilometres per hour in very short bursts. Residents also enjoyed trivia quizzes and coming up with trivial facts of their own. Many of the trivia facts that we discovered evoked much humorous conversation among the residents and staff.
