A Heartfelt Tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness

October, the month of breast cancer awareness, saw Kings Lodge Nursing Home spring into action. On October 20th, we hosted a vibrant WEAR IT PINK Day charity event and a delectable bake sale. This week was a whirlwind of creativity and compassion.

Our residents donned their creative hats, colouring pink awareness ribbons, crafting pink butterflies and flowers to adorn our bake sale backdrop, and whipping up scrumptious treats. The excitement was palpable.

Pink wasn’t just a colour; it was a spirit. From nails to ribbons, we painted our world pink. And, of course, a celebration is incomplete without pampering. Hairdressing and pink nail-painting sessions added a touch of elegance.

The pinnacle of this heartwarming week was the event itself. Residents, staff, and families painted the day pink. Laughter, music, and the clinking of teacups filled the air during our karaoke sing-along. A delightful tea party with cakes further warmed our hearts.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who embraced the pink spirit, generously baked cakes, and contributed to making this event a success. Together, we made a meaningful stride in raising awareness for breast cancer.
