Oaklands House Care Centre’s lovely residents Irene had a wonderful afternoon spending time in the kitchen with our chef making Filo pastry parcels, with pear, sultanas, and cinnamon.
Irene was supported and directed as how to make them. She began by slicing the pears into a pan, added the cinnamon and sultanas, and then heated it all together. Irene rolled out the filo pastry, then added the filling, which she rolled up and then baked into the oven. Once cooked, they were sliced and sprinkled with sugar ready for residents to enjoy at teatime.
