Steep House Nursing Home residents and staff had a wonderful time making jam and lemon curd tarts!
Residents Colin remembered his days of working in the bakery, adding a special touch to our baking adventure! Once the pastry was rolled, cut, and filled, and the tarts were baked, we all enjoyed them with afternoon tea.
Engaging in activities like baking promotes cognitive stimulation, encourages social interaction, and enhances fine motor skills for our residents. Plus, the joy of creating something delicious together fosters a sense of accomplishment and community among us.
