Corona Kindness, People are coming together to ensure those living in care homes don’t feel isolated. Steep House Nursing home in Petersfield surprised resident Dorothy with a Birthday party and Skype call from her Daughter. Due to the coronavirus the home is making every effort to keep its residents safe and well. Dorothy who was celebrating her Birthday had no expectations that this special date would be any different to a normal day. Staff and residents at steep House made sure this was not the case! Lijo Renji, Registered Manager at Steep House Nursing Home which is a part of Future care group said: “At our Nursing home creating moments of joy is a top priority, we want our residents to continue to live a full life as part of a great life. We always like to go the extra-mile and make their wishes a reality – no matter how unusual. When our Administrator learnt that it was Dorothy’s Birthday she wanted to make sure her family were still able to be a part of this celebration. Dorothy was so happy to chat to her daughter on this special day and she said “ you made my dream come true.” Skype was so well received the home are setting up an account so families can remain connected and speak to their loved ones.
