What an amazing afternoon we had at Belmont Castle Care Home, on Saturday, September 3rd, at our Belmont Summer Fete!
We’d like to extend a big thank you to all our volunteers who helped make the day extra special for our residents. A special shoutout to our chef Tracey and her husband Shaun for their fantastic work with food and the BBQ. Tracy even presented all the children who joined us with sweets and gold cup trophies for participating.
We had a blast with activities like Tombola, lucky dip, face painting, basketball challenges, colouring competitions, singing, and dancing. The fun was supposed to end at 16:00, but our residents and their families were having such a great time making memories that we didn’t finish until 17:30!
Brian had a blast playing with our VIP guest, Megan the dog. They chased that ball all afternoon, leaving us wondering who was more tired in the end!
And then there’s Jo, who usually prefers a short garden visit. But on this special day, she had so much fun that she didn’t want to leave. Jo was one of the last residents to return to the lounge, clearly enjoying every moment!
The night staff even asked when the next event would be!
