Blossoming Memories: Flower Arranging at Steep

Our senses came alive at Steep House Nursing Home, as we indulged in the enchanting aroma of freshly cut flowers during our flower arranging activity!

Residents June, Brenda, Mary, Roy, and Colin shared heartwarming memories of their floral experiences. June and Brenda fondly recalled arranging blooms for the church, while Mary shared stories of bringing smiles to her patients with bouquets during her nursing days. Roy and Colin reminisced about nurturing their own vibrant gardens.

But our floral displays aren’t just visually stunning; they also provide cognitive and sensory stimulation, helping to improve motor skills and achieve a deep sense of accomplishment.

It’s more than arranging flowers; it’s a journey through cherished memories and a delightful sensory adventure!
