A very happy birthday to one of the residents at Acacia Care Centre, who celebrated her 100th birthday!
Evelyn received her letter from the Queen and was over the moon by it! Evelyn said that her mother worked at Edinburgh Castle and when the young Queen would visit, Evelyn and other children at the castle would be able to play with the Queen. Evelyn told us that the secret to her reaching 100 was having 9 children that kept her busy and a bowl of porridge everyday along with doing the daily crossword in the paper!!
Evelyn’s family held a wonderful party for her with many generations of her family in attendance. The day certainly captured moments of joy!
