Today, Steep House residents and staff visited our local Tesco to give back to our wonderful community on International Day of Charity. With the help of staff, relatives, and our residents Brenda and Tony, we collected and donated food items to Tesco’s food donation box, in collaboration with FareShare and the Trussell Trust.
The United Nations recognises charity as a vital force in alleviating global challenges, and September 5th, the International Day of Charity, honours this humanitarian spirit.
Mother Teresa, a beacon of compassion, inspired this day through her tireless efforts to combat poverty and distress, ultimately contributing to peace.
After our donation, we also picked up some delightful teatime treats. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this noble cause.
