We had a busy week at Steep House Nursing Home!
A good, competitive round of darts, quiet moments with books, aqua painting, scrabble and word games, visits to the hairdresser, chats about the Olympics, and some arts and crafts.
Did you know? April 6th marks the opening of the first modern Olympics in Athens, Greece in 1896! We reminisced about different sports and shared our favourites. Mary A. loved swimming, while June wasn’t a fan of boxing! Both remembered playing rounders, netball, tennis, and stoolball at school.
For National Tartan Day, we made colourful tartan patterns and enjoyed Scottish music and scenes of Scotland on TV.
