Fast forward to February 1969, in a pub with flat mates, the topic of an anonymous Valentine’s card arose. Speculation pointed to a well-known figure in the office as the sender. Unaware of the sender’s identity, in that pub on a Friday evening, Chris approached me with her friends. That night she revealed she sent the card, marking the beginning of our love affair.
