Many residents at Oaklands had a wonderful afternoon of singing and dancing along to various songs sung by the lovely entertainer Debbie Cobbett who has not been in our home in such a long time. Our entertainers understand the importance of music to the elderly in particular and how the music can bring back the memories of their younger days. Those memories can be so powerful. We have in the past experienced residents dancing when they haven’t walked in years and also sing along to the songs when they have been unable to communicate in other ways. Music is magic!
