National Pumpkin Day

Kings Lodge Nursing Home had a fantastic time celebrating National Pumpkin Day! On the 26th October, our residents embarked on an exciting outing to a pumpkin patch farm, where they carefully selected the most unique and colourful pumpkins. Their choices varied in shapes and sizes, creating a vibrant and diverse collection to work with.

Upon returning to the home, our residents eagerly delved into pumpkin carving and decoration. Getting their hands dirty while scooping out the pumpkin insides and carving intricate designs was an absolute joy. The days leading up to Halloween were filled with creativity, laughter, and camaraderie as they crafted their unique pumpkin masterpieces.

The Halloween spirit was in the air, and the residents’ enthusiasm was truly infectious. These creative activities provide a wonderful way for our residents to engage with the changing seasons, make memories, and express themselves. We cherish these moments of joy and togetherness!
