Laughter echoed through Oaklands House Care Centre as comedian Steve Shappelle, donned in a hilarious Pantomime Dame costume, entered the lounge.
Our Christmas bash was a riot of joy with Steve’s uproarious routine, festive jokes, amazing cabaret, and Christmas tunes. Residents even joined in, creating a unique version of Silent Night using numbers and bells.
Steve’s songs brought not just joy but also tears and smiles, making him the life of the party. His therapy dog Sophie joined the fun, spreading love with resident visits.
Chef Sarah crafted a feast – grazing boards, themed cupcakes, Nutella Christmas tree, savoury bites, and more, all devoured with gusto alongside our well-stocked Oaklands bar.
Thank you, Steve, for an unforgettable and uplifting afternoon. We can’t wait to have you back soon!
