Pride Month at Oaklands

Oaklands Care Centre began the month of June with planting rainbow carrots in our vegetable patch for Pride Month, dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQ. A colourful #PRIDE display was added to our reception area.

Some of our lovely residents also took part in a craft session colouring in rainbows in the six colours, which has its own meaning. Red is symbolic of life, Orange is symbolic of healing, yellow is sunshine, green is nature, blue represents harmony, and purple is spirit, which reflects the diversity of the LGBTQ community.
