Stowford House Spectacular Summer Party!

The grounds of Stowford House Care Home came alive with laughter and music during our delightful Summer Party. Our residents, families, and staff united for a memorable day of fun and festivities.

To kick off the celebration, residents showcased their creativity by crafting charming headbands, which some of our residents and their relatives adorned in place of hats. It was heartwarming to witness everyone’s enthusiasm and participation.

The party began with a jamming session by a talented band from the British Legion. Their foot-tapping melodies set the tone for an afternoon filled with joy. As the music played on, we took a break to savour a delicious lunch, enjoying each other’s company and the radiant sunshine.

The grand finale was a captivating performance by the Reading Bagpipes. Their melodious tunes filled the air as they led us on a delightful walk around the home. The atmosphere was electric, and our residents, adorned in hats and dressed up for the occasion, were in high spirits.

Our kitchen team outdid themselves by creating whimsical toadstool cakes that perfectly complemented the whimsical decor. Wendy Daw added to the musical magic by skilfully playing the drums.

The entire home was transformed with vibrant decorations, creating a truly magical ambiance. Laughter, smiles, and shared moments made this afternoon unforgettable.

At Stowford House Care Home, we cherish these moments that bring our community together, creating lasting memories and fostering the spirit of togetherness.
