What a wonderful sunny day we woke up to on Saturday the 6th of August. The perfect weather for our Garden Party at Steep House – our first big gathering since Covid and residents, families, friends and staff all made the most of it.
Our party was officially opened by our Deputy Mayor, Councillor JC Crissey who spoke to everyone before cutting the ribbon. He went on to chat to some of our residents and stayed to enjoy the music.
We had two musical duos who entertained us during the course of the afternoon and the singing, clapping and dancing told its own story of how much their performances were enjoyed. Our thanks goes to the Timeless Duo and to Jigsaw for coming to help make our day special.
Our kitchen worked hard to provide food and drinks for everyone and along with our tombola stall, cake stall, plants and raffle, contributed to a substantial amount being added to our residents’ activity fund. Thank you all for your donations.
Our thanks to all the staff who helped to organise the party and to those who came to help or to support the residents.
