Oaklands residents had an enjoyable afternoon at the weekend, spending time in our gardens on this lovely sunny day. Some residents assisted with the picking of the vegetables that were ready for our Chef to use in the kitchen. Today’s basket contained mini cucumbers, spring onions, courgettes, beetroot, cabbages and some mini tomatoes.
Throughout the afternoon, everyone enjoyed ice lollies while admiring the colourful flowers, taking in the scents of lavender and roses, listening to the birds and watching the bumblebees as they collected nectar and pollen from the lavender.
