Bourne House Nursing Home recently arranged a Team Building weekend at Allhallows at Kent.
Team building is aimed at building effective relationships within the team. At the heart of team building is the notion that the team is a single body that brings together independent personalities, which alone can do a lot, but together can achieve much more. Team building can change the roles in the team structure. An effective team means that each member is able to take on multiple roles, which are functional at the same time.
This is what the Home Manager Chris Trott had to say after the Team Building weekend.
” To me, it was really nice to be with my team members this weekend, to see them laugh, outside of the work environment, to understand each of my staff and to know them and how, in spite of various individual challenges in their personal life, they come to work each day with a smile on their face and their motivation is just to make Bourne House Nursing Home a better place. I just want to say I AM PROUD of each individual team member of Bourne House Nursing Home, who have stood by their colleagues in the recent challenging times and have come out stronger, better and even more united than I would have ever anticipated. It has been a huge success and we are already thinking about another event of this type.”
