The Boynes Care Centre residents have been up to lots this week!
Instead of making large filling doughnuts, we decided to put our own spin on them and make mini doughnut puffs. Our residents crumbled, kneaded, rolled, and cut out puff shapes. There was a job for everyone to do, which was great for all abilities.
Residents also enjoyed their first cinematic experience with our top of the range projector. We watched ‘Young Victoria’ which everyone thought was brilliant. We had the popcorn and ice cream at the ready, everyone had said they had a wonderful time!
Relish, have some amazing puzzle resources that are just incredible for our residents living with dementia. They do not have overwhelming amounts of puzzle pieces, and the puzzle pictures are so lovely! Our residents love the different themes and really enjoy doing them whilst having a cup of tea and a piece of cake!
