Captivating moments as our residents witnessed the incredible journey of butterflies we nurtured from tiny caterpillars to their first flight into the world.
Painted lady butterflies started as minuscule caterpillars and, with gentle care, transformed into beautiful butterflies after a phase of chrysalis.
Every participant in this project was left amazed by the magic of nature, witnessing this incredible transformation unfold before their eyes.
With the recent dry spell over the past years, the butterfly population has faced a decline. Our residents at Oaklands House Care Centre, took it upon themselves to make a difference, even on a modest scale, by contributing to the revival of these delicate creatures.
