Welcome Eyecare opticians visited Cedar View Care Centre with their pop-up shop. The eye care company have been trailing their exciting shop experience with us and the feedback from the residents was fantastic.
The team at Welcome Eyecare was amazing, they really made their visit a person-centred experience for the residents. The service was so good you would think you were in the high street receiving your eye test. The team took their time to get to know every resident, populate a bespoke eye care plan and deliver new prescriptions within days!
We have received many wonderful comments from our residents saying what a fantastic experience it was. One resident said: “I’ve had a great day! I went to the home’s salon to get my hair done, then visited the optician shop in the home, I had a lovely lunch and was visited by Poppy the pat therapy dog in the afternoon. I’ll definitely sleep well tonight.”
This feedback is exactly why we were so keen to work with Welcome Eyecare. We are aiming to fulfil our residents’ needs not only with daily activities but to enable them to have meaningful lifestyle experiences with visiting health professionals.
