Willow Wreath Making Oaklands

Oaklands House residents were involved in making willow wreaths for their indoor garden project.  The willow was collected from their own willow tree in the garden.  Residents grouped the strands together then plaited them to create thickness.

The plaits were then made into a wreath shape and secured using more willow.

The willow wreaths were then grouped with other greenery that had been collected and the display fixed to the wall for their ongoing indoor garden project.  The residents said “they had a lovely time using resources from the garden and it is very satisfying creating a beautiful display”.
