Lindsey Groenewald

Home Manager

My name is Lindsey Groenewald and I am the Registered Manager at Belmont Castle Care Home.
I have a nurse background, most of my career has been spent within the Health & Social Care sector and I have been in Management roles within this sector since 2010.
My role is to ensure the effective day-to-day running of Belmont Castle and to do that, I wish for those who live, work and visit here to feel safe, valued and listened to.
Outside of work, I am married with 3 grown-up sons. My husband and I relocated from Shropshire in 2020 following more than a decade of wonderful visits to Portsmouth.
I am blessed with wonderful family and friends and my recreational time is spent enjoying life with those I hold dear.
I am proud to be leading the team at Belmont Castle and look forward to welcoming you.

Amanda Edwards

Deputy Manager

My name is Amanda Edwards, but I prefer Mandie. I have worked in the care sector for the last 24 years. I have joined Belmont Castle Care Home to develop and enhance my skills as a Deputy Manager. What I love about my job and the care industry is that every day is different, and I learn new things. 

I am a mother of 4 sons and have a grandson, my youngest is an aspiring young footballer, and most of my spare time is spent going to matches and tournaments with his squad.

Jemima Chowdhury

Administration Manager

My name is Jemima Chowdhury, and I am the Administration Manager at Belmont Castle Care Home. My role is to support the home manager and deal with staffing, residency, and financial processes within the home. I have a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Health Psychology and have worked in the health sector since 2018. I am family orientated and spend a lot of my time out and about with my family. I also love to read, draw, and occasionally bake!

Lorraine Mayhew

Lifestyle Lead

My name is Lorraine and I’m the Lifestyle Lead at Belmont Castle Care Home. I have experience with risk assessment, legal requirements, having a role of a welfare representative and an auditor. For the last 5 years, I have also been a community pioneer.
I am very family orientated. Family and friends are always close to my heart. I enjoy days out, socializing, reading, and working alongside different communities as well as people from all different walks of life.
The lifestyle Lead role gives me so much fulfilment being able to share fun and laughter with our lovely residents. I’m so happy to see how the activities I arrange bring our residents joy, happiness and improve their overall wellbeing. If there was ever a perfect Role, mine is here at Belmont Castle

Debra Gledhill

Head of Housekeeping

My name is Debra Gledhill and I’m the Head of Housekeeping. I’ve been a part of Belmont’s team for over 3 years now. We’re one big family here and I enjoy every day working here.
I’m a mother of 3 and have 9 grandchildren. I enjoy my spare time spending with my big family and my pet dog. I also enjoy gardening activities.

Geraldine Ebbage

Head Chef

My name is Geraldine Ebbage and I’m the Head Chef. I have worked as a Chef for over 20 years and enjoyed every single minute! Cooking is one of my biggest hobbies and I love cooking delicious and nutritional meals for our residents. Outside of work, I love spending time with family, home baking with my lovely grandkids. I also enjoy travelling and going to the theatre.

Mark Bailey

Maintenance Manager

This role is a new challenge for me as I have spent the last
17 years working at a private school as a maintenance/grounds person. Prior to
this, my working life was in agriculture. I enjoy all aspects of maintenance. My
role is to support the team and residents to ensure that they have a safe and
compliant home.
