Meet The Team at Hamilton Nursing Home Surbiton
Our Belief is that your future matters

Andrea Day
Home Manager
I have worked at Hamilton since 2003. I joined after starting a family and looking for a worthwhile return to work environment. Hamilton gave me that and more. It soon became apparent that I wanted to work in this environment building strong relationships with residents and their families. I count myself lucky to have been given the opportunity and proud to now be the Registered Manager. I love working with my staff who are a creative and caring group of people who share my passion for providing the highest quality of person-centred care to our residents.
Hamilton is a fun place to be, creating music, laughter and meaningful moments with our residents makes each day so rewarding.
I am very proud of working in such a successful home with Good and Outstanding CQC reports and strong links with the local community.
I live with my 2 daughters who also keep me busy along with my ‘son’ Bailey – my adorable Chocolate Labrador!

Shantel Booth Da-Costa
Clinical Deputy Manager
I have worked at Hamilton since 2022 as the Clinical Deputy Manager. I am very fortunate to have had quite a diverse work background. Before becoming a Registered Nurse, I studied Forensic Science and yes, I am a major CSI fan! However, my passion for healthcare came 10 years ago when joining the NHS. I started working as an administrator for Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia and soon realised I wanted to and could do more. I have worked as a nurse in surgical wards, community teams, prison, clinical assessments on behalf of the government and care homes. I believe these experiences and previous roles will help me support the residents and team at Hamilton.
Family is at the utmost importance to me; I have a son aged 8 who is very proud that his mummy looks after people who need help. He has even had me do a presentation for his class. Making him proud is my everything.
From the moment I walked into Hamilton, I felt like it was a home away from home. Care for the elderly and dementia care is very important to me, and I am enjoying every day. The team have welcomed me with open arms, and I love the energy you get when you walk through the door.
