Rommel Villanueva
Home Manager
I am proud of the wonderful team we have here taking care of our residents, their families and friends. I enjoy my job as no two days are the same! Please feel free to drop by for a chat or visit.

Peter Haysom
Deputy Manager
I started my career in Healthcare at the age of 17, joining the Ambulance Service where I trained and qualified as a Paramedic. I worked my way through the Ambulance service ending as a Response Manager and Clinical Audit Lead for the Trust. I left the ambulance service and started work as a Service Manager at an NHS Hospital, responsible for their home care service. I then joined Priory Court in August 2020.
I am really excited and proud to be working at Priory Court, I feel the team here has a real family spirit and the care that is provided to the residents is reflected in this.

Debbie Kennedy
Administration Manager
My name is Debbie and I work at the front desk at Priory Court. I assist with both, reception and administration, and am always happy to help people.
I enjoy chatting to and getting to know the families of the residents and the residents themselves. Being able to improve their lives provides me with a great sense of fulfilment.
I love animals and have quite a few pets.

Sue Cunniffe
Receptionist
My name is Sue and I recently joined Priory Court Care Home as a Receptionist.
I have really enjoyed getting to know the residents, meeting and greeting their families and friends.
I have a very varied role, no two days are the same!
Priory Court Care Home has a great team which I’m delighted to be a part of.

Fiona Smith
Lifestyle Lead
My name is Fiona, and I joined the team in November 2022 as a Lifestyle Assistant. When the role of Lead became available, I immediately put my name forward as I wanted to step up in making a difference and supporting the residents, enabling them to have fun and engage in activities.
I have worked in the care sector for the past 30 years as a carer, and then I became a team leader and medication technician in care homes. I have always involved myself in the activities at the care homes.
I am very crafty and enjoy the challenge of making things for different occasions.
I have a great team with me here, and I look forward to working with the residents and their families.

Maria Peralta
Clinical Manager
I joined Priory Court in 2009 and am the Clinical Manager. I am extremely proud of the team of Nurses and Carers that work here and how they provide the best care possible to all our residents. I really enjoy my job; no two days are the same and I enjoy helping our residents live their lives to the fullest.

Mandy Melia
Head of Residential Services
I have been working at Priory Court for nearly 13 years now. I started working as a care assistant with no experience on the residential unit and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the residents and working with them. This encouraged me to achieve my NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. After a couple of years I was promoted to a senior care assistant on the nursing unit. This helped me gain more knowledge to complete my NVQ Level 3.
I was then promoted to Senior Care Officer and transferred back to the Residential Unit. I was a Senior Care Officer for around 6 six years before finding the confidence in myself to accomplish NVQ Level 5 in Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care.
2 years later I am now the Head of Residential Services for Priory Court. Although the role can be very challenging at times, I still enjoy working with and developing relationships with the residents, their families.

Charles Ashton
Maintenance Manager

John Prosser
Chef Manager
I left school in 1979 with a view to becoming a chef; I left school when I was sixteen and went to the College in Ireland to study business. I started work in the care sector, the love of cooking came to the fore as I began to see there was more to catering for the elderly than I had given credit for. I recognized very quickly this was my forte as it were, and it was.
For a while, I wanted to train as a social worker and go to university as I had a strong desire to help and care for elderly people. Unfortunately, this did not happen as finances would not permit this venture. However, working in the care sector was a way to carry out of my desire to help others.
In 1992, I moved down to York in North Yorkshire as an area catering manager for a private care group. I stayed in this role for three years and was in charge of two homes. I then moved on to the MS Society respite care center in York as Chef Manager. I stayed in this role for 23 years.
Transferring down south, I became Chef Manager at the MS Society home in Horley. In time, the home was bought by St Cloud Care, and in 2014, I transferred to Priory Court to be Chef Manager.
I oversee a team of six members of staff in the kitchen and these people are like family to me.
One of my greatest achievements was catering for Princess Alice who was the patron of the MS Society. It was a memorable day. I love my role at Priory Court, which gives me opportunities to encourage people to move forward within the care sector, especially catering.
I have 30 years’ experience as a chef, and what I love most about this job is doing the classical, old fashioned cooking that most elderly people enjoy and relate to. It is evident that my job satisfaction comes from seeing people enjoying their food as I recognize that this is so very important to our residents. It is something they look forward to each day.

Emma Clarke
Head of Housekeeping
I have been doing housekeeping nearly all my life and I really enjoy it. I applied for a position at Priory Court as I had never worked in a care home environment before and I thought it would be a challenge. When I got the job, I realised I was not wrong, but I absolutely love my job and it is the best choice I have ever made. I enjoy coming to work every day and I have been here over 2 years now and hope to be here for many more.
