Rommel Villanueva

Home Manager

I am proud of the wonderful team we have here taking care of our residents, their families and friends. I enjoy my job as no two days are the same! Please feel free to drop by for a chat or visit.

Biba Mijalceva

Deputy Manager

My name is Biba Mijalceva, and I am the newly appointed Deputy Manager at Priory Court Care Home.

I bring nearly 20 years of experience working with individuals living with acquired or traumatic brain injury, as well as neurological conditions in a hospital setting. Throughout my career, I have progressed from a junior nurse to senior nurse, ward sister, and ward manager, honing my knowledge, clinical skills, and abilities.

Prior to joining the Future Care Group, I served as a Deputy Manager for over 6 years in a privately funded residential care home. My professional journey has equipped me with a deep passion for my work, and I am always ready to face challenges.

I place a high value on honesty and transparency, believing in an open-door policy. In caring for our residents, I prioritise understanding, empathy, and an open mind. I am open to ideas that can enhance and make a positive difference in the lives of our community.

I am thrilled to be a part of the warm and caring family at Priory Court. I am eager to contribute to enhancing the daily lives of our residents and look forward to the journey ahead.

Debbie Kennedy

Administration Manager

My name is Debbie and I work at the front desk at Priory Court. I assist with both, reception and administration, and am always happy to help people.

I enjoy chatting to and getting to know the families of the residents and the residents themselves. Being able to improve their lives provides me with a great sense of fulfilment.

I love animals and have quite a few pets.

Sue Cunniffe

Receptionist

My name is Sue and I recently joined Priory Court Care Home as a Receptionist.

I have really enjoyed getting to know the residents, meeting and greeting their families and friends.

I have a very varied role, no two days are the same!

Priory Court Care Home has a great team which I’m delighted to be a part of.

Fiona Smith

Lifestyle Lead

My name is Fiona, and I joined the team in November 2022 as a Lifestyle Assistant. When the role of Lead became available, I immediately put my name forward as I wanted to step up in making a difference and supporting the residents, enabling them to have fun and engage in activities.

I have worked in the care sector for the past 30 years as a carer, and then I became a team leader and medication technician in care homes. I have always involved myself in the activities at the care homes.

I am very crafty and enjoy the challenge of making things for different occasions.

I have a great team with me here, and I look forward to working with the residents and their families.

Maria Peralta

Clinical Manager

I joined Priory Court in 2009 and am the Clinical Manager. I am extremely proud of the team of Nurses and Carers that work here and how they provide the best care possible to all our residents. I really enjoy my job; no two days are the same and I enjoy helping our residents live their lives to the fullest.

Mandy Melia

Residential Support Manager

I have been working at Priory Court for nearly 13 years now. I started working as a care assistant with no experience on the residential unit and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the residents and working with them. This encouraged me to achieve my NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. After a couple of years I was promoted to a senior care assistant on the nursing unit. This helped me gain more knowledge to complete my NVQ Level 3.

I was then promoted to Senior Care Officer and transferred back to the Residential Unit. I was a Senior Care Officer for around 6 six years before finding the confidence in myself to accomplish NVQ Level 5 in Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care.

Charles Ashton

Maintenance Manager
I left school at 15 years old and became a plasterer, a trade I stayed with for many years. I worked for various companies and eventually became self-employed for some time. I then entered into the refurbishment management sector, working for various companies. I was involved in many projects such as care homes and housing developments; some of these projects went on for five or six years.

I came to work to Priory Court in September 2015. I’d say the camaraderie with the staff is fantastic and I just love the warm and welcoming atmosphere here. It’s very satisfying seeing everyone so happy and always helping each other.

I enjoy making our home and facilities safe for residents, their loved ones and our staff.

Jerome Koh

Head Chef

I joined Priory Court in 2021 as a chef assistant and quickly advanced to Deputy Chef. I am now delighted to have been promoted to Head Chef.

I love creating cakes for our residents and seeing their expressions of appreciation; it truly melts my heart.

Originally from the Philippines, I became a chef there before moving to Canada, where I worked for three years. I then moved to England to be with my wife and started working at Priory Court. I hold a Diploma in Culinary and Pastry Arts, a National Certificate II, and British Standards in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

I am excited to continue contributing to the Priory Court community.

Emma Clarke

Head of Housekeeping

I have been doing housekeeping nearly all my life and I really enjoy it. I applied for a position at Priory Court as I had never worked in a care home environment before and I thought it would be a challenge. When I got the job, I realised I was not wrong, but I absolutely love my job and it is the best choice I have ever made. I enjoy coming to work every day and I have been here over 2 years now and hope to be here for many more.
